A terrarium workshop is a hands-on creative session where participants build their own miniature indoor garden inside a glass container. Each participant is guided through selecting plants, layering soil, and arranging decorative elements — and takes home a fully completed terrarium at the end. No experience is required and all materials are provided.

At TerrariumSingapore.sg, we offer closed terrarium workshops for individual participants, and open terrarium workshops for group format sessions. Virtual sessions with delivered kits are also available. We currently do not offer standalone moss, sand and desert, geometric glass, or bottle terrarium workshops.

Yes, completely. All workshops are designed for participants with no prior experience. Our facilitators guide every step — from choosing plants to completing the final arrangement. All participants will be able to complete a beautiful terrarium in their very first session.

A closed terrarium has a lid that creates a self-contained humid environment — ideal for tropical plants like ferns and mosses. An open terrarium has no lid, allowing more airflow — better suited for succulents and cacti.

In-person individual and group workshops start from $30 per person. Virtual sessions start from $35 per person, inclusive of materials delivered to each participant. Corporate and large-group packages are priced based on group size, venue, and customisation — contact us for a tailored quote.

All packages include: glass container, plants, soil mix, decorative elements (figurines, stones, coloured sand), assembly tools, and facilitation by an experienced instructor. Virtual sessions include a complete kit delivered before the session. There are no hidden fees for standard packages.

Standard workshops have a minimum of 5 participants. For groups of 1–4 pax, contact us to check availability for individual or couples sessions. There is no maximum — we have facilitated events with hundreds of participants across multiple facilitator teams.

Yes. Corporate terrarium workshops are one of our most booked services. We work with HR managers, event coordinators, and office administrators to plan and execute sessions for groups of any size — from 5 to 500+ participants. We handle all logistics, materials, facilitation, and setup. Custom branding options are available on request.

Yes. Our mobile setup service brings the full workshop to your location — all materials, equipment, and facilitators included. We set up and tear down everything. Your venue needs tables, chairs, and power access. Contact us with your venue details and we'll confirm feasibility and logistics.

We recommend booking at least 3 working days in advance for standard group sessions and at least 2-4 weeks for large corporate events or sessions requiring customisation. Weekends, public holidays, and year-end dates fill up quickly — enquire as early as possible to secure your preferred slot.

Our main studio is at 29 Playfair Road, Singapore 367992 — a short walk from Tai Seng MRT station (Circle Line). The space is fully air-conditioned with on-site parking available (subject to fees). We also set up at client venues islandwide.

Standard sessions run approximately 1.5 hours. Extended sessions of 2–3 hours are available for more complex workshop types or when combined with other activities. Indicate your preferred duration when you enquire.

Nothing. All materials, tools, containers, plants, and decoratives are fully provided. For virtual sessions, a complete kit is delivered to each participant's address before the session date.

Terrarium care is covered during the session and a care card is provided at the end. Closed terrariums are largely self-sustaining — place in indirect light and mist lightly every 2–4 weeks. Open terrariums with succulents need more light and less water. Most terrariums thrive in office and home environments with minimal attention.

Yes. Terrariums require no direct sunlight, minimal watering, and very little space — making them ideal for desks, meeting rooms, shelves, and reception areas. They're also popular as corporate gifts and team bonding take-homes.
